British Library
Public Library, Euston Road, London
Govindia Hemphill were commissioned by the library to design a series of three engineered carpets for the new members room, staff canteen and conference centre & bar. The design was inspired by the spines of the books in the Kings Library, central to the main building, the angle of the design in direct correlation with the odd orientation of the Kings Library.
Along side this design process Govindia Hemphill worked with De Matos Ryan designing the interior spaces and specifying furniture.
